At Marion…
Our church family is a mosaic consisting of believers of all ages, gifts, and backgrounds.
Our worship reflects this diversity with a mix of both traditional and modern elements.
You’ll find people wearing everything from dresses and suits to jeans and sweatshirts.
You’ll see people raising their hands in worship, but not everyone does.
Some people say amen during the sermon, but not everyone does.
Crying babies don’t bother us, but some do choose to take them out of the sanctuary until they are calmer. We have a monitor in the Commons Area projecting the service.
Our services include kids from 2nd grade up. We provide activity bags and sermon note pages if you desire that for them.
Worship and Ministry Information
Sunday Mornings
We have two worship services on Sunday mornings. Our 8:30 am service is more traditional, and our 11:00 am service is more contemporary. Both services focus on preaching God’s Word.
At 9:45 am, we have Sunday School for all ages — from 2 year olds to senior adults. Each class uses age appropriate lessons designed to teach us more about God and His Word.
The nursery, located on the main floor just down the hall from the sanctuary, is open at 9:45 and 11:00 am.
We have Children’s Church at 11:00 am for 2 year olds-1st grade. This is held downstairs in our classrooms.
Sunday and Wednesday nights
On Sunday nights and Wednesday nights, we have programs and studies for all ages. The nursery is open on both nights.
Our children, ages 2 years through 6th grade, meet downstairs at 5:45 pm. *See below for more information.
Our youth, grades 7-12, meet in the Chapel at 6:00 pm. *See below for more information.
Adults meet at 6:00 pm in the Sanctuary for a Bible Study. This is a more casual time than Sunday mornings with teaching and discussion.
MBC Kids
MBC Kids meets downstairs for large group and small group activities.
We are using the Word of Life Gopher Buddies (ages 2 - K) and Olympians (grades 1-6) programs.
Their time together includes Bible lessons, memory verses, and service projects, as well as daily journals that they work on at home.
We use a check-in system each time our kids have programs that include stickers for both kids and parents.
Each adult who works with MBC Kids must pass a background check.
MBC Students
Our students, grades 7-12, meet together in the Chapel. Each time together includes fun games, but also a time of learning about God and His Word.
Throughout the year, they participate in service projects. They also enjoy events and weekend retreats that are just for them.
